What is an EPA Handler ID (RCRA ID)?
An EPA Handler ID is a unique 12-character identifier assigned to every facility that generates, transports, treats, stores, or disposes of hazardous waste under RCRA. The first two characters are the state abbreviation (e.g., TX, CA). This ID appears on hazardous waste manifests, biennial reports, and regulatory filings.
